Hotel Restaurant of the Year
This category is open to restaurants within midscale and upscale hotels in metropolitan Melbourne. This category looks to find a balance between technical skill, staff knowledge and the overall hospitality experience.
Previous winners include Archie’s Farm Restaurant & Bar - Hyatt Place Melbourne, Caribbean Park, Miss Mi Melbourne - Mövenpick Hotel Melbourne on Spencer and The Reserve – Amora Hotel Riverwalk Melbourne.
Judges will be assessing the following criteria:
- General - signage, cleanliness, décor, design, lighting, atmosphere, security and safety.
- Menu
- Beverages
- Food and presentation
- Staff
- Telephone technique
- Environmental sustainability
- Overall experience

Judging will take place via anonymous site inspection, Sunday – Friday. Written submissions are not required and will not be considered during the judging process.
Hotels nominating in this category will be invoiced to reimburse two courses and two beverages.

Hotels can make multiple nominations in the Onsite Offering Awards categories (e.g. Premium Hotel Restaurant of the Year, Hotel Bar of the Year, Hotel Club Lounge and Hotel Spa of the Year).
Cost: $160 + Reimbursement to cover the cost of anonymous property judging. Please note, Best Meeting and Events Space of the Year nominations cost $200.
