During the gala dinner, Tourism Accommodation Australia (Victoria) and the Accommodation Association will jointly recognize the most exceptional hotels, motels, and industry professionals in the state.

Judging Process:

Depending on the category, awards are judged by anonymous property visit, assessment of a written submission, or Zoom interview.

Following the awards ceremony on Thursday 17 August, each category entrant will receive feedback on how their property performed relative to winning hotels and individuals.

All judging is completed by a third-party anonymous assessment organisation that is completely independent of TAA (Vic)/AA.

Accommodation Categories: Anonymous property visit to occur Monday -Thursday.

Onsite Offering Awards: Anonymous property visit to occur Monday -Thursday.

Hotel Achievement Awards Categories: Assessment of written criteria

Employee Awards Categories: Review of the employee's résumé, coupled with a Zoom interview.

*Revenue Management Employee of the Year category is judged via written submission*

CATEGORIES

Accommodation Awards

Hotels can only nominate in one accommodation specific category (e.g. Deluxe Accommodation Hotel of the Year) per venue.

Cost: $110 + Reimbursement to cover the cost of anonymous property judging. Please note that the nomination fee is waived for the Motel of the Year category.

Onsite Offering Awards

Hotels can make multiple nominations in the Onsite Offering Awards categories (e.g. Deluxe Restaurant of the Year, Hotel Bar of the Year, Hotel Club Lounge and Hotel Spa of the Year).

Cost: $110 + Reimbursement to cover the cost of anonymous property judging.

TICKETS 

Due to the high demand for tickets for the fast-approaching 2023 Victorian Accommodation Awards for Excellence, we have necessarily implemented some changes to the ticket purchasing process.
 
There are now only a limited number of tickets remaining for purchase, as such we have now closed ticket sales online.

We strongly urge all finalists to email us ASAP at enquiry@vicaccommawards.com.au with your hotel name, contact details and the requested number of tickets you wish to purchase. Whilst full-order requests may not necessarily be filled in their entirety, we will certainly do our best to accommodate where possible.

If you have already purchased tickets and no longer require them, please get in touch with the team as soon as possible to arrange a refund.

Our goal is to make sure that all finalists can attend the event, and we thank you for your patience as we manage this process.
